Ingredients

2 oz Copper Fox Chestnut American Whiskey

0.5 oz fruit-forward vermouth (like Flying Fox Vineyards Spring Vermouth)

0.75 oz mushroom-infused honey syrup*

1 prickly pear ice cube**

2 blackberries

how to prepare

Combine Copper Fox Chestnut American Whiskey, vermouth, and wild mushroom-infused honey syrup in a mixing glass; stir and strain into rocks glass over prickly pear water ice cube. Garnish with two blackberries.

 

*Mushroom-infused honey syrup

  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.75 oz dried mushrooms of your choice

Combine honey with boiling water and stir to incorporate. Immediately add dehydrated mushrooms of your choice and stir to combine. Let steep covered for 20 minutes, then filter out mushrooms. Strain into a food safe sealable container and refrigerate. Use within 2 weeks.

 

**Prickly Pear Ice Cube

A.) Select a commercial prickly pear water (like TrueNopal brand)

B.) Make your own by combining 4-6 oz fresh pressed prickly pear juice with 12 oz water

Freeze overnight in an ice cube tray.
