Prep: Begin by measuring the Catoctin Creek Roundstone Rye Whiskey, sweet vermouth, honey simple syrup, and fresh lemon juice. Fill a cocktail shaker three-quarters full with fresh, high-quality ice.

Mix: Combine the measured whiskey, sweet vermouth, honey simple syrup, and lemon juice directly into the prepared cocktail shaker.

Shake: Secure the lid and shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker is thoroughly chilled—approximately 10-15 seconds—to achieve optimal temperature and dilution.
