Farm Stand Colada
Ingredients:
1.5oz Laird’s Apple Brandy 100 Proof (Bottled in Bond)
0.5oz Virago Spirits 151 Rum
2 oz Strawberry-Watermelon Juice*
0.5 oz Lime Juice
2 oz Coconut Cream Mix**
0.25oz honey syrup***
10 drops Tiki Bitters
1 small pinch of salt
Preparation:
Add all ingredients to a blender with 1.5 cups of ice. Blend on low for 15–20 seconds, or until smoothie-like in consistency. Switch to high for 5 seconds to fully incorporate the ice. Pour into a 16oz Mason Jar, then garnish with a small watermelon wedge and half a strawberry, and enjoy with a sustainable straw.
*Strawberry-Watermelon Juice:
Blend equal parts strawberries and watermelon until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve into a separate container and refrigerate.
**Coconut Cream Mix:
Blend equal parts cream of coconut (e.g. “Coco Lopez”) and coconut milk to create a smoother, more pourable coconut cream. Pour into a food safe container and refrigerate.
***Honey Syrup:
Combine two parts honey to one part hot water. Stir until fully dissolved, then pour into a food safe container and refrigerate.
