92 Acres

92 Acres is a family-owned and operated distillery, winery, and meadery. Our family farm is nestled amongst the mountains just outside of Charlottesville, VA. Our passion is preserving the distilling and winery heritage of Virginia as well as incorporating our own family traditions. Our copper still is the birthplace of Ragged Branch Bourbon where the original owners, Alex Toomy, Russell Nance and Chris Sarpy, came together, with the help of Dave Pickerell, to create the popular Ragged Branch Signature Bourbon, Cowboy Cut, Bottled-in-Bond and Rye Whiskey. In order to keep up with demand, Ragged Branch moved production to a larger facility in Augusta County on the family farm of one of the owners, Alex Toomy. With bourbon production now in Augusta County, the original property has been reimagined. Named after the amount of acreage that makes up the property, 92 Acres, produces vodka, mead and wine while continuing to sell Ragged Branch products in the Tasting Room. With the creation of 92 Acres, comes an opportunity to try out new recipes, new drinks, and new ideas. We welcome all that would be willing to try out something new to our beautiful tasting room.
