About
Ready for some spooky, adults-only, pre-Halloween fun? A. Smith Bowman Distillery is
introducing Boos & Bourbon! Join us on Friday October 25th OR Saturday October 26 from 5:30-
8:00 as we showcase the distillery in a completely different light.
The evening kicks off with a welcome cocktail followed by a one-of-a-kind lantern-lit tour of the
distillery that will feature some haunting ghost tales, and staff recollections of all the things that
have gone bump in the night over the years.
At the conclusion of the tour, guests will have a small cocktail hour with light appetizers and a
sip of something strong to keep the spirits at bay. Cyanide Sisters Tarot & Apothecary will be
on-site for readings, and you will have a chance to enter our costume contest! See below for
guidelines.
Guests for this event must be 21 years or older.
Disclaimer: For your safety, we kindly ask that you do not wear any type of heel. The tour route
includes walking over a grate, and heels could pose a risk. We recommend wearing flat,
comfortable footwear to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
Costume Contest: The winner will receive a special tour & tasting with our head distiller, David
Bock. The winner will be able to bring two additional guests to the tour & tasting. The date &
time will be arranged once the winner has been selected.
Theme: Given that it’s a 21+ event, costumes can be more mature, but they should still be
respectful and not offensive and/or explicit.
- Halloween/Horror/Funny/Pop Culture etc. – There is not one theme, so creativity is
encouraged! Feel free to add a unique twist to classics. - Distillery Specific – While not required, you can consider incorporating elements related
to the distillery or our spirits.
Guidelines/Prohibited Items to Include, but not limited to: Please adhere to the below restrictions – safety is up to the discretion of ASB staff.
- No Weapons: Props should not resemble or be mistaken for weapons real or fake.
- Mobility & Vision: Ensure your costume allows for safe movement and clear vision as we will be going through a lantern-lit tour with a large group.
- Fire Safety: Costumes should not have any open flames.
