Creekside Crusher

presented by Zane Triplett, Foresta

Ingredients:

1.5 oz VA Frost Vodka

0.5 oz honeysuckle cordial

2 oz guanabana (aka soursop) juice

0.5 oz lemon juice

0.5 ginger honey simple syrup*

1 oz high quality soda water

Preparation:

Bar Instructions:

Combine a double measure of all ingredients in an ICO cream whipper using the soda water for dilution instead of ice. Seal whipper and use 1 C02 cartridge to fill, then remove and use a second to hold the charge in order to carbonate the beverage. Leave this cartridge in the whipper and place in fridge for at least 30 min or freezer for 20 min. Take whipper out and set on counter. Carefully release the gas while upright. Once released, fill glass with whole cubed ice and gently dispense the drink. Garnish with dried honeysuckle flowers.

Home Instructions:

Combine all ingredients in a shaker tin except for the soda water. Shake and strain into glass filled with solid ice cubes (not barrel or pillow ice) and add 1 oz of high quality soda water. Garnish with dried honeysuckle flowers.

*Ginger Honey Simple Syrup

Combine 1 cup honey and 1 cup water in a medium saucepan and heat until gently simmering. Stir in one knob of fresh-grated ginger, and simmer for one minute, then cut the heat and allow to steep and cool for 30 minutes. Fine strain the syrup into a sealable food safe container and refrigerate. Use within 2 weeks.
