Balanced with a touch of fresh lemon juice, this sophisticated and warming drink offers an intriguing spice-forward flavor profile that is both intense and remarkably smooth. Served over ice, it’s a perfect centerpiece for a discerning palate.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz. Reservoir Rye
  • 0.75 oz. Sweet Vermouth
  • 0.5 oz. Ancho Reyes
  • 0.25 oz. lemon juice

how to prepare

Prep: Measure 1.5 oz. of Reservoir Rye, 0.75 oz. of Sweet Vermouth, 0.5 oz. of Ancho Reyes, and 0.25 oz. of fresh lemon juice. Ensure your cocktail shaker is chilled and your serving glass (preferably a rocks glass) is ready with fresh ice.

Mix: Combine the measured Reservoir Rye, Sweet Vermouth, Ancho Reyes, and lemon juice directly into the prepared cocktail shaker.

Shake: Fill the shaker completely with high-quality ice, seal tightly, and shake vigorously for approximately 15-20 seconds until the exterior of the shaker is thoroughly frosted and the drink is properly chilled and diluted.

Serve: Double strain the chilled mixture from the shaker over fresh ice cubes into your prepared rocks glass.

Garnish: Express the oils from a fresh orange peel over the surface of the drink by twisting it, then place the peel into the glass.
