Ingredients:
- 0.75 oz Catoctin Creek 92 Proof Roundstone Rye Whiskey
- 0.75 oz Acidulated Grapefruit juice*
- 0.75 oz bitter red aperitivo
- 0.75oz New Donn’s Blend**
- 5 drops of 80/20 saline solution
Preparation:
*Mix 40 grams of granulated, food-grade citric acid into one liter of grapefruit juice
**Create a rich Demerara syrup by combining 2 cups Demerara sugar and 1 cup water and simmering in a saucepan until the sugar is dissolved. Add dried cinnamon, juniper and clove and simmer until fragrant and infused. Strain out the spices, then combine 1 part syrup with 2 parts grapefruit juice. Store in the refrigerator and use within one week.
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker over ice and shake vigorously for 8-10 seconds, then double strain contents into a Nick and Nora glass and enjoy
