Brandy Sangaree
presented by George Washington's Distillery at Mount Vernon
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. George Washington’s Apple Brandy
- 1/2 tsp. white sugar (dissolved in a dash of water)
- 1 oz Madeira / Port
- Fresh nutmeg for garnish
Preparation:
Sangaree although lesser known, but much older cousin of the popular summer drink Sangria. Madeira, a Spanish fortified wine, was a favorite beverage of George Washington and a dry Madeira blends well with George Washington’s Apple Brandy.
