Enhanced with a touch of Virginia cream and a hint of Salt & Sorghum Bitters, it finishes with a beautiful blackberry wine float, offering a sophisticated, autumnal flavor profile perfect for a cool evening.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Filibuster bourbon
  • 0.75 oz maple syrup
  • 0.5 oz lemon juice
  • 0.25  oz orange juice
  • 4 dashes Salt & Sorghum Bitters
  • 0.5 oz Virginia cream
  • 3 dashes cocktail foamer (e.g.  Fee Foam)
  • 0.33 oz Virginia Blackberry Wine float
  • Garnish: Sea Salt and Fresh Blackberry

how to prepare

Prep: Gather all spirits, juices, syrups, bitters, cream, and foaming agent. Measure all ingredients (excluding the cream and blackberry wine) precisely for the shaker.

Mix: Combine the bourbon, maple syrup, lemon juice, orange juice, bitters, and cocktail foamer into a shaker tin filled with ice.

Shake: Secure the lid and shake vigorously until the mixture is thoroughly chilled and properly diluted. Next, pour the contents into the empty second shaker tin, add the Virginia cream and the Hawthorne strainer spring, and dry shake intensely for a full 30 seconds to build the luxurious froth.

Serve: Pour the cocktail directly from the shaker without straining into a rocks glass over a large, clear ice cube. Carefully use the back of a bar spoon to float the Virginia Blackberry Wine onto the surface just beneath the foam.

Garnish: Complete the experience by delicately sprinkling a pinch of sea salt over the foam and placing a fresh blackberry on the rim or surface.
