Ingredients:
- 1 oz Cirrus Vodka
- 0.5 oz Brady's Prohibition Gin
- 1 oz aquafaba* (optional)
- 1 oz spiced peach rosemary syrup**
- 0.5 oz hibiscus tea
- 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
- 0.5 oz Rheda’s Longing Mead from Atheling Meadworks
Preparation:
Begin by pouring one half ounce of mead into a chilled, stemmed cocktail glass. Then, combine the rest of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds, then strain into your cocktail glass, garnish with a dehydrated lemon wheel, and enjoy.
- *Aquafaba is the water from a can of chickpeas. Strain out the chickpeas and store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to one week.
- **Spiced peach rosemary syrup
Combine the following in a medium saucepan, stirring until the sugar is dissolved:
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tsp ground ginger
- 1-2 cloves
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 ripe peaches (diced, pits excluded)
Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat. Mash/press peaches, add 2-3 sprigs of fresh rosemary, and simmer for 5 minutes Strain through a fine sieve or cheesecloth and store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to one week.
