Spirits Lab Distilling is the oldest legal distillery in Charlottesville, Virginia, founded and operated by Sarah and Ivar Aass. As a true craft distillery, all spirits are distilled on-site using a 300-liter Portuguese pot still, with no sourced products—ensuring every bottle is made with care, integrity, and creativity.

Their portfolio includes single malt whiskey, Old Tom gin, brandy, and a variety of other inventive spirits, each reflecting the distillery’s commitment to local craftsmanship and hands-on production.
