Greener Pastures is a Virginia rye whiskey cocktail inspired by the commonwealth’s deep-rooted history of rye distilling. Built around 100% rye whiskey from KO Distilling, it celebrates the bold, grain-forward style that Virginia distillers have been producing for centuries.
The name Greener Pastures reflects both the pure rye character of the cocktail and the optimism of Virginia’s earliest settlers, who came in search of new opportunity and a better future. With its rich spice, layered complexity and connection to Virginia’s distilling heritage, this cocktail is a tribute to the grain, the people and the pioneering spirit that helped shape the commonwealth.
Prep: Rinse the inside of a chilled glass with Trial & Error Distillery Elixir 1605.
Stir: Add 1.5 oz KO Distilling Bare Knuckle Cask Strength Rye, 0.5 oz honey syrup, 0.25 oz KO Distilling Battle Strength Gin and 3 drops saline to a mixing glass with ice. Stir until chilled.
Serve: Strain into the rinsed chilled glass.
