Grackle Jam

presented by Nick Crutchfield, Fanboy

Ingredients:

1.5 oz. Virago Spirits Kali Hibiscus Gin

0.5 oz. Iberian Bittersweet Apertivo

2.0 oz. Japanese Yuzu Soda

2 to 3 plump VA Blackberries (when in season)

Garnish: orange wheel, mint sprig

Preparation:

Muddle the blackberries in the bottom of a highball or Collins glass, then pour the measure of Virago Kali into the glass over the pressed blackberries. Fill the glass with pebble ice (or preferred ice) to the top of the vessel. Add Iberian Bittersweet Apertivo and then top up with the Japanese yuzu soda. Garnish by placing the orange wheel on the backside of the glass pressed against the back wall, then place a plump sprig of mint between the wall of the glass and the slice of orange. Enjoy through a sustainable straw.
